How Do You Set Yourself Apart?

Written by  //  March 31, 2014  //  Growth

Start by identifying what you do above and beyond the typical functions of a Golf Course Superintendent, and highlight those skills. Experience alone only qualifies you to apply for the job; it does not get you hired. Show that you perform those typical tasks better and deliver better results. This holds true for all your career documents and interviewing. Set yourself apart by conveying a well-rounded glimpse of your professional qualities. Include leadership qualities, renovations, continuing education, second language proficiency, membership relations, golfer relations, and teamwork with leadership team including Golf Pro, GM, Owner, Committees etc. Think of what results you have a proven ability to deliver, and expand on those with your cover letter, resume, career portfolio, and answers to interviewing questions.

Setting yourself apart is the key to making your next career step a reality so start today!
